Mercatto is an always bustling lunch spot with two locations - the best of which is at 15 Toronto St. The menu is very Terroni-esque with pizza, panini, pasta and salads. There's also Italian wine, beer and soda.

I had a really terrible time at the Bay St Mercatto just recently, the service was terrible, the food average, the overall atmosphere was avearge and what made it most disapointing is that it was my 'go to' restaurant. The food is always great, the staff is ALWAYS friendly no matter how busy the restaurant is and i've just always had a good time. Its just really unfortunate that it reallly does take one bad experience to turn you off a restaurant.
